Job Title: Medical Physicist
Job Duties: Construct and mold radiation filters and shielding devices to accomplish patient treatment and reproducibility per computerized plan. Oversee quality assurance monitoring, loading and transportation of radioactive material. Quality Assurance, including independent validation and verification of 3D treatment plans, RapidArc and IMRT QA, routine chart checks and CyberKnife, HDR and linac QA. Perform quality management processes, including dose calculations, radiation monitoring and equipment calibrations. Work in the Radiation Oncology Department for the design, implementation and quality assurance of patient 3D, IMRT, RapidArc, SBRT and HDR treatment plans and associated treatment facilities in collaboration with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists and radiation therapists. Participate in professional development to include conferences and consultations plus all related duties as assigned. Visit customer sites for on boarding the product and training purposes.
Requirements: Master’s degree (or academic foreign equivalent) in Medical Physics or closely related discipline and four years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. The position also requires Accuray Certification and two (2) years of experience with treatment planning and QA troubleshooting on CyberKnife; and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy.
